My goal in therapy is to help my clients reach their goals in the way that works best for them. I do not believe that therapy is a one size fits all and that what may work for one client may not work for another. I believe my clients are the experts of their lives and their lives are shaped by the environment they grew up in and currently live, including their relationships, their culture, and the society we live in. In sessions with me, you can expect complete authenticity, empathy, and compassion. I will challenge you when needed and to your comfort level while also providing validation and unconditional support. I believe that you have the strength inside of you to achieve the goals that we set together.
I received my Master’s of Education in Counseling with a focus on Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University in 2024. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from North Central College in 2020. I am beginning my licensed career at Clearwater Counseling Chicago, but completed a year-long internship in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago in a private practice setting. In addition to my clinical experience, I previously provided tutoring to high school students studying for college entrance exams. I primarily specialize in individual therapy with children, adolescents, and adults focusing on a variety of issues, many of which were rooted in traumatic experiences.Â
I grew up in the Chicago suburbs my entire life, but moved within the city limits in 2021. I have many hobbies, but my absolute favorite is to get outside and go on a long hike. I am passionate about environmental conservation and am a big proponent for the safety of our National Parks, State Parks and Forest Preserves. In addition to caring deeply for the environment, I am social justice oriented and am committed to doing my part to support those in my community.
