Therapy with me is a unique and individualized experience. I often begin by exploring early life experiences and childhood patterns to better understand the experiences that shaped you into the person you are today. I believe meaningful change is difficult without understanding why certain patterns exist. I believe that self-awareness is the key to change.I place strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, viewing it as a foundation for growth that can be replicated outside the therapy room. Clients often share that I make them think, and I do this via reflective dialogue, storytelling, Socratic questioning, and humor.
After working in the legal field, I realized that something was missing and felt drawn toward work that allowed for deeper connection and meaningful change. I returned to school to earn my Master’s degree in counseling from The Family Institute at Northwestern University, graduating in 2020. I have been part of Clearwater Counseling Chicago since 2018, where I completed my practicum and internship and continue to work as a therapist. I became a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in 2024. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
I often say that I was gifted two great loves in my life: psychology and law. I am continuing my love of learning by pursue my PsyD, with the intention of thoughtfully integrating both fields in my work. When I am not with clients or studying, I value time spent with family and friends. I was also blessed in those areas as well.
