I became a therapist because I wanted to help people feel less alone in their experiences. I believe in the power of the witnessing someone’s experience and see myself as a guide throughout the process. You can expect sessions with me to be full of humor, thoughtful questions, existential exploration, and compassionate accountability, and deep validation. I believe whatever you need to work on will surface in your daily life and my job is to help hold the threads of your experience so you can weave them together in a holistic way.
I graduated with my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College in 2013. I began my career in Arizona working with children and families experiencing a multitude of mental health challenges, with a focus on trauma. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and continue to be passionate about the art of healing trauma. I also specialize in marriage and couple’s counseling. Outside of the therapy room, I have been an adjunct Psychology professor, clinical supervisor for young clinicians perusing licensure, participated in pilot group counseling and education programs, and run Clearwater Counseling Chicago.
I am originally from Orlando, FL and moved to Chicago because I fell in love the neighborhoods, culture, and food. I’m a huge fan of local music and comedy. In my free time, you’ll likely find me soaking up the sunshine outside, playing with my cat, watching a movie, crafting, or going on an adventure with my husband. My happy place is either on the beach or deep in a forest. I am passionate about social justice and doing my part to make the world a safe place for all people.
