Nurah Hussain is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Masters of Arts in Counseling program. Nurah also obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a concentration in Biology from Florida Atlantic University. Human behavior has always been particularly interesting to her, which is why she pursued a career in the field of Psychology. Although her therapeutic style is eclectic, her approach to therapy utilizes psychodynamic theory in congruence with a client’s individual experience. Her areas of proficiency deals with diverse populations, aiding individuals overcome challenges associated with multicultural issues as well as depression, anxiety, adjustment and other mood disorders. She plans to help her clients overcome their issues dealing with various psychological areas as well as communication, personal growth and multicultural challenges. She is under the direct supervision of Shaina Helm, LCSW
